Christmas Eve/Day Mass Schedule Change
Unfortunately Covid has made it very difficult to find priests to help with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses here at St. Jude's! Due to a lack of priests, please note the following Mass schedule changes:
The Mass Schedule is as follows:
CHRISTMAS EVE: 4:00pm, 5:30pm, 10pm
CHRISTMAS DAY: 7:30am, 9:30am, and 11:30am
First, all Masses will take place ONLY in the Church.
There will be seating in the Social Hall for overflow at the 4:00pm, 5:30pm, and 9:30am Masses. These Masses will be livestreamed downstairs. A deacon or Eucharistic Minister will bring Holy Communion downstairs for people to receive the Lord.
All overflow Masses will begin livestreaming at the time of the upstairs Mass. So there will be no "4:15" or "5:45" or "10am" in the Social Hall - rather, livestreaming will begin as soon as the upstairs Mass begins.
I understand and apologize for the inconvenience this will cause - it may fill some with dismay that they aren't able to find seats in the Church and are relegated to the Social Hall. My recommendation is to avoid the 4pm Mass, which tends to be the most crowded, and instead come to the 5:30pm or 10pm Masses instead. Let us be patient, charitable, and understanding this Christmas season - even though the parking lot may overflow, our usual seats be taken, and we may have to stand - but this is still better than trying to give birth in a stable two hundred miles from your home!
God bless you and Merry Christmas,
