Exploring our Faith

Exploring our Faith

Most of us were born Catholic and we learned about our faith from our families and from Religious Education as youth. However, learning about our faith is something we do our entire lives

We have many programs and opportunities to explore and grow in our faith

Please join us in these wonderful programs

Bible Study

We learn about God from Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.
Sacred Scripture is the Bible and is a key element of our faith. The best way to read and understand the Bible is to participate in a bible study program.

Meets weekly on Saturday mornings at 8:00 AM online via Zoom, until it is safe to meet in person. We are using the 2021 Workbook for Lectors, Gospel
We are using the 2021 Workbook for Lectors, Gospel Readers, and Proclaimers of the Word with the focus of our discussion being on the readings for the next day.

Please contact Bob Lux for information on how to participate

Online Community Board

We have begun an online community board so that the St.. Jude Family can stay connected during these times when we are not able to gather together.  Each month we have a different focus and there are short prompts that you can add to.  We would love to hear from all of you, if you haven't visited them yet, please take a look and see all the many posts from St. Jude Parishioners.  Come back often because people are continually adding their comments.  There is also a column for prayer requests and one for resources.  We keep the bulletin boards password protected because they are primarily for St. Jude Parishioners.  To access our January Board (or previous Oct. - Nov.), please check the weekly email for access information.  You may add your names to the posts or post anonymously.  Why not take a look and have some fun!
Monthly online sessions

We will be holding online sessions to help us explore our faith and develop a closer relationship with God.

Our plan is to hold periodic sessions to examine an aspect of our faith in detail.
Each session will be held twice, on Saturday morning and Tuesday evening, to provide scheduling flexibility. At this time all sessions will be done remotely using Zoom.

Information on upcoming sessions and recordings of past sessions can be found here
