Saint John XXIII Council was chartered June 31st, 1967 at St. Stephen's in Trumbull, CT with 58 charter members. When St. Jude Parish was established in Monroe, CT in 1973, the council was transferred there to better support the Monroe community. It is named after Pope John XXIII. Our Council works closely with the St. Jude Parish community in Monroe, CT, providing support and funds for various projects. Saint John XXIII Council 5987 is located at St. Jude's Church at 707 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, CT 06468. Our Council is composed of about 200 Knights, four being Honorary and 11 being Honorary Life Members The Grand Knight for 2019 - 2020 is Bill Davoren. Our Council meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 PM in the Parish School. For those wishing to participate, the Rosary is said before the meeting starting at 7 PM.
