Safe Environment Information for Parents

Protection of our children is our most important goal.

The USCCB. Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People requires Safe Environment training for students in grades K-12 on child sexual abuse awareness and prevention   This training occurs annually in every Catholic School in the Diocese of Bridgeport.

The public school system in Monroe has a program that fully and comprehensively meets the children’s Safe Environment training requirements of the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People in your parish.

In addition, the Diocese of Bridgeport offers age appropriate video training for children. There are sessions for Grades K-5, 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12. The videos can be found on the Diocese website located
here

We encourage you to review these videos and view them with your children

In addition, parents are encouraged to participate in the Safe Environment Training provided by the Diocese. You can register with the Safe Environment program and sign up foe a class
