Loving Christ, Loving Others

Welcome to St. Jude’s Parish in Monroe! Our parish seeks to become a place where people encounter God, fall in love with Him, are transformed by His Spirit, and become missionary disciples in the world today.

We believe in building on the Five Pillars of the Church:
  1. Worship – everything we do begins with our relationship with God, Who first loved us.
  2. Formation – we then allow the Truth of Jesus Christ, found in Scripture and in the Tradition of the Catholic Church, to change our hearts and our lives so          that we become fully mature in holiness.
  3. Evangelization – once Christ has changed our hearts, we seek to offer Him to a world that is so desperately in need of His love.
  4. Community – this Christian life cannot be lived in isolation. We foster intentional friendships with other disciples for mutual support and encouragement.
  5. Service – our love for Jesus should translate into love for our neighbor, especially the poor, the unborn, the immigrant, and those most vulnerable among      us.

    Co-operative Mission Sunday Appeal on July 19th & 20th

Each year, the Mission Office of our diocese invites a missionary group to every parish to share about their mission work. On the weekend of July 19-20, we welcome the Foundation for Children in Need (FCN), a lay Catholic organization based in Arlington Heights, IL. FCN serves the poor in the villages of southern India.

Next week St. Jude parish is hosting Dr. Geetha Yeruva, the founder and president of FCN, who will explain how it supports among other endeavors the education of children and provides corrective surgeries for children with cleft lips and palettes.
